How do I create an account for people to post comments at community meetings?
At community meetings and events, it can be helpful to log into coUrbanize under a generic username (e.g., "coVille Workshop Participant") and let people post comments on the spot without having to sign up. Here's how to do that:
1. Log out from the coUrbanize site (if you're already logged in)
2. Click "Log In"
3. Under the Sign up heading, click "Sign up with email"
4. Choose a username
This is the "name" under which participant comments will show up. Make the last word the "last name."
5. Enter an email address different from the one you normally log in with
The email doesn't have to be a real one. As an admin, you'll still be notified of all comments, replies, and supports.
6. Create a password and click "Sign Up"
You're now logged in as a workshop participant! Be sure to save this username and password in case you want to log in and add more comments from people at the event.
7. Navigate back to your project page
You're ready to let people comment! You can also come back and enter any handwritten comments later.
coTip: People who comment under a generic workshop login won't become project followers. It might help to place an email signup sheet next to the computer.
